Finding research tools has never been so easy
The first page of our Finding Research Tools guide just got a major refresh. We’ve updated key details, made the content easier to follow, and added new ways to learn, such as a video playlist, for those who prefer more than just text. Whether you're exploring library databases or websites, there's something here to fit your learning style.
More ways to find permalinks
The Find and Share Permalink section on the Citing Your Sources page of the How to Do Library Research guide is now more comprehensive, featuring more examples on how to find permalinks in a wider range of subscription databases.
Check your guide for program toolkits and interactive tutorials
Looking for quick access to the tools that support your studies? We've got you covered! You can now find your program toolkits directly in your program guides: BSN, DNP, MSN, MSW, NP, and RN-BSN. These toolkits are still available in your Canvas courses, but now you have another easy way to reach them. Each one is packed with librarian-curated videos selected just for your program, giving you the support you need when you need it.
But that’s not all! We’ve also added a new section of interactive tutorials to every program guide, including general education subject guides. Why? Because everyone learns differently. Some students prefer reading or visuals, while others learn best by doing. These interactive tools, like click-through lessons, practice activities, and guided steps, let you explore at your own pace and in your own way. It’s all about making learning easier, more engaging, and more effective for you.
Say hello to new databases and goodbye to old
Introducing UpToDate: A new clinical decision tool

In January of this year, we introduced UpToDate, a powerful clinical decision support tool that delivers fast, evidence-based answers at the point of care, helping clinicians make informed decisions and improve patient outcomes. Since UpToDate offers similar resources to our subscription database DynaMed, we will gradually phase out DynaMed by its expiration in June 2026.
For now, DynaMed remains on the Database A to Z page, but we’ve replaced its instructions with UpToDate instructions in the BSN, MPAS, and Finding Clinical Practice Guidelines guides.
Smarter business research with BSI

EBSCO’s Business Searching Interface (BSI) is a dedicated search platform designed for business researchers. It simplifies access to company profiles, industry reports, economic data, and market research within the Business Source Complete database. The latest BSI update features a modern, streamlined design with enhanced navigation, making business research more efficient and user-friendly.
You can find instructions for using this new search interface on the Mathematics guide.
Discover Dynamic Health: Your new clinical resource

Dynamic Health is now part of our database collection, offering quick, evidence-based answers at the point of care to support better patient outcomes. This EBSCO database consolidates evidence from two high-demand nursing databases, CINAHL and Nursing Reference Center Plus, into a more comprehensive, user-friendly platform.
After a successful yearlong trial in 2024 and positive feedback from the Chamberlain community, we’re excited to announce that Dynamic Health is replacing Nursing Reference Center Plus. It offers the same trusted resources with even more features, including:
- Skill checklists with step-by-step instructions
- Disease and condition overviews
- Care intervention guides
- Patient education handouts
- Trusted drug information
- Professional development resources for leadership and cultural competence
You can find instructions for using Dynamic Health in the RN-BSN Program guide.
Goodbye, NatMed Pro
We canceled our NatMed Pro subscription following an IRC vote. This decision was made after careful evaluation of usage data, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with research needs. Instructions and links to this database were removed from the BSN and MPAS Program guides.
