MPAS Program Guide

Welcome!

Welcome to the Chamberlain Library website! This guide features information sources for Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree program, including links to library databases, eBooks, and tutorials. To go to the library homepage, select the Chamberlain Library logo in the upper left corner of the page or the Go to the Library Homepage button below. But before you go, check out the step-by-step instructions below for a quick tutorial on how to search the library.

Search the Library

  1. Start from the Search Everything box on the library homepage.
  1. Enter your keyword(s) into the search box. The example search statement in the image below will find sources on the importance of delivering patient-centered care as a physician assistant. Example: "physician assistant" AND "patient-centered care." The capital ANDs link the keywords, which means the search system will look for physician assistant and patient-centered care. Placing quotations around physician assistant and patient-centered care will tell the search system to look for the phrase instead of the individual words.

  1. After you select Search, log into the Adtalem Sign In page with your student portal login credentials (D# and password).
  2. From the search results page, use the filters under Filter Results to meet the requirements of your assignment. The example in the image below has the Peer-Reviewed Journals, Articles, and Publication Date filters selected to only show peer-reviewed articles published within the last five years.
  3. Select Apply Filters to update your search results.

  1. Select Check Availability to open the full text of an article from the search results.
