While these summaries may not be acceptable for an assignment, it is a good source for finding background information on general education topics. Ethnic NewsWatch features newspapers, magazines, and journals of the ethnic and minority press, providing researchers access to essential, often overlooked perspectives. This database also contains Ethnic NewsWatch: A History, which provides historical coverage of Native American, African American, and Hispanic American periodicals from 1959-1989.

The Points of View Reference Source provides information that presents both sides of a current issue or event. Each topic includes an overview essay of the topic, a point (argument) essay, a counterpoint (opposing argument) essay, and a guide to critical analysis.
