The Database A to Z page got a bit of a makeover! But before debuting the new look, let’s quickly review what this page is all about. It’s your go-to spot for browsing and searching through all the databases we subscribe to, along with links to other relevant online sources. Databases are searchable collections—perfect for finding articles for your assignments. You can use this page to search the databases directly or head to the Search Everything box on the library homepage, which searches most of them all at once!
While most of this page hasn’t changed, the table below contains a few notable updates you'll want to check out.

The database links: The links now go to the database landing pages featuring a description of the database, the vendor, and the type. The sidebar features: While the old Database A to Z page had Featured Databases and New/Trial Databases boxes, they are more prominently displayed. Also, the Featured Databases will rotate. There is also a brand-new Helpful Links box with links to our Database Trials Feedback form, Purchase Requests for Colleagues form, and Report a Problem form. | The databases: We still offer the same subscription databases and links to the same online sources. How to log in: When you select the Access Database button on the new landing pages, you’ll be taken to the familiar University single sign-on page. Just use the same login credentials you use for your student portal and Canvas—quick and seamless! |
It’s important to note that we are not entirely done with this page yet. We plan on releasing a few more features on this page on July 1, which we will publish in conjunction with our annual updates to the website. The first major update will be the subject categories for the website’s databases and research guide pages. We are creating new subjects to enhance your searching and browsing experience by using terms from your (yes, your) top search terms! Therefore, you, our users, are helping us develop our subjects to organize our content better. Thanks for that!
Also, the librarians will be busy behind the scenes this summer creating librarian reviews for our popular databases. These reviews will include our database recommendations for specific subjects and assignments and written and video instructions for using them. They will be featured on the database landing pages under the descriptions.
So, stay tuned for more updates to the library website this summer!
